Johnson Controls makes Autozone Duralast and a bunch of other brands, but lists no fit for a4 TDI cars or e46 BMW 3-series. No group 94R battery or any fit for a4 TDI cars. But posters on BMW forums seem to be having the same battery hard-to-find discussions, and they complain even more about OEM batteries failing in short time (one M3 owner had a BMW OEM battery fail after 2.5 months). VW dealers don't seem to know group size, so you have to describe your car. Probably the easiest to find, but 4.5 years seems unimpressive in a mild climate and mostly highway driving (where I have gotten other batteries in other cars to last 6-7 years). However, the Autozone store that I called said that they don't have it, and clicking on anything to add to a shopping list from the link above gives an error.Īvailable, but there are not that many stores that sell East Penn Deka batteries.
